Coming soon are the last two sections on the Mail Contractors who operated at Shakespeare – Kerens & Mitchell, and The National Mail and Transportation Company. We will also look at how the arrival of the Southern Pacific RR led to the establishment of new settlements such as Lordsburg and Deming, and how it led to curtailments and changes to the stage/mail route. After these two sections are up, I begin Part IV of the work – the history of Ralston City/Shakespeare from day one – including new information on the Diamond Hoax.
I am also working on a short essay about myths and denial as they pertain to local histories.
I also have to iron out a few bugs here and there, but please stay tuned until normal service is resumed!
