Perhaps one of Ralston City’s more reliable claims to fame is the fact that it was directly responsible for the founding of Silver City after a visit to that settlement by a group of men from Pinos Altos.
In the next installment we will look at exactly who it was that comprised that group, saw the silver there and, allegedly, exclaimed ” Hell boys! If that’s silver, I know where there’s plenty of it!”. We will also lay out WHY it was that they went to Ralston in the first place. Contrary to popular stories, it wasn’t specifically to see the ore!
